July 7, 2010
It was nice to have a short vacation at my father-in laws ranch in Texas. I was able to get a little fishing and golfing in.
Last weekend I enjoyed playing shows at Rodeo Pontiac in Fort-Coulange & at the Kinmount Agricultural Society in Kinmount. This coming weekend I’ll be playing at Elsie Dairy Festival in Elsie Michigan, followed by St. Dominique St. in Jonquiere Quebec on the 10th. Look forward to seeing everyone there! Spring has Sprung 2010.
Spring is here again, and what a beautiful one in Tennessee! The dogwoods are blooming, and Abby (my miniature schnauzer) is happily chasing bugs! Back in December I played a few Christmas shows with Jimmy Sturr (http://www.jimmysturr.com) in New York. I enjoyed a friends & family Christmas get together over the holidays with plenty of home cooked goodies, complete with a guitar pull. From January through March I played 18 memorable shows in Florida, and turned around then flew to England to tour. I had a great time filming “Six White Horses” for Balcony TV while there.
Easter is right around the corner, and it always gets me thinking about being a kid. When I was young my mom would dye Easter Eggs on the Saturday before Easter, and with a wax pen put our names on them. We’d play with them for a while, then they’d get hidden for us to find Sunday morning. I remember that I always got a new pair of shoes and an outfit for church on Easter morning. We still dye eggs at my house every Easter. I’m looking forward to taking my 49 Caddy out for a spin around Nashville with the windows down and the radio up. I’ll be playing several shows in Canada, California, Michigan, Ohio & New Jersey through out the year. I hope if your close by you’ll come out and see my show! Keep It Country! Fall 2009 Updates
Hello everyone! It's been an exciting busy Summer for me! I've been to South Dakota, Canada, Norway, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Iowa to name a few! I have also been playing games of golf in between shows, and spending time with my sweet wife Marcy, and our mini Schnauzer Abby. Keep an eye out for her at some of my shows. Abby makes an appearance every now and then and steals the show!
I am looking forward to many more shows this fall, including Kansas, Michigan and Indiana. A film crew from Ireland interviewed me in a documentary about my brother John, among a few others. Country Weekly interviewed me for Sept. 21, 2009 issue. On the 2nd, DJ Bette spoke with me at Hooah Radio (http://www.hooahradio.com/). I have a new publicist Lisa Rollins of Rollins Media (www.RollinsMedia.com) who has joined the team at Tomcat Productions. ![]() In a few weeks, my wife and I are going with my father in law and sister in law to England. Rip and Pam have not been there before, so it will be great to be their tour guide. Thank you to all my fans that have been writing me and coming out to the shows. You are the reason I am where I am. Thank You. Posted on 12 Sep 2009 by Tommy Cash
Spring 2009
....................
Hi Everyone. Finally glad to see spring, and I’m excited about this year! I enjoyed seeing my fans in Florida, and the golfing was great! It’s good to be back in Tennessee. I hope the economy will improve and that many of those out of work will find a new job. My new album has been released. It’s called Fade to Black, and the first single shipped to radio is a song I wrote called “The Ramblin Kind”. Make sure you call your local country radio station and request it! Marty Stuart does a duet with me on my old hit “Six White Horses”. My sister Joanne also does a duet with me on “Wings of a Dove”; a song I’ve always wanted to record. George Jones sings with me on “Some Kind of a Woman”, the first cut on the CD. My son Mark duets with me on “I Walk The Line”. My wife Marcy and I just returned from a successful engagement in England. Michael Twitty and I had an outstanding crowd at Harlow’s Casino in Greenville Mississippi. In the near future I have show dates in Minnesota, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana and more. I hope to see you at one of my concerts this year. My new toy is a 1949 Cadillac I purchased last year in North Carolina. It’s a beautiful black all original 4 door sedan. As you can imagine it attracts a lot of attention when I drive it around! Now that the spring is here I will be playing lots of golf and basketball. We were saddened last year when we lost both of our dogs, Beamer and Chloe. They were both old but loved by all. And now, we have a new baby. A solid black miniature schnauzer named Abby, and she has won our hearts in the few short months we’ve had her. She loves to play ball and she runs figure 8’s and circles in our back yard. She loves everybody and we love her dearly . For my birthday, a friend gave me a pass for the upcoming Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta Georgia. We had a Blast!! Thank you for following my career. Posted on 06 May 2009 by Tommy Cash
New Album "Fade To Black"
My new album, Fade To Black is scheduled for release the first week of September. On it is a duet with Geroge Jones singing Some Kind of a Woman, a song I wrote many years ago, and a duet with Marty Stuart on the remake of Six White Horses, my big Hit from 1970. I believe this album is my very best effort in many many years. It’s a 15 song album, and I included a few Johnny Cash Songs as a tribute to my wonderful late brother. I hope you enjoy my version of Ballad of a Teenage Queen, Get Rhythm, Ring of Fire, and others including Ragged Old Flag. I recently played in a golf tournament in Jackson Tennessee which was great fun. I also sang four songs at the banquet for the Rockabilly Festival and a tribute to Carl Perkins. A great time was had by all. My wife Marcy has been working hard along with our secretary April and they are to be commended for their consistent good efforts. Posted on 15 Aug 2008 by Tommy Cash
Spring/Summer 2008
After touring in the USA, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Nova Scotia, I have been in the studio recording my first album for Inlight Records. The CD will be out in June 2008. It is most likely my very best work. The new CD contains a variety of material and duets with Marty Stuart on “Six White Horses”. My son Mark sings with me on “I Walk the Line” and he sings harmony on “San Quentin”.
My wife Marcy is now my manager and she’s doing a great job. My touring schedule is slower this year due to the economy and fuel cost. I am convinced the American government should step in and take action to lower fuel prices across our great Nation! However, I will be doing shows this summer in Iowa, PA, TN, WI, Ontario Canada, GA, and Sweden. Thank you for your support. Tommy Cash My Official MySpace Page! Posted on 15 May 2008 by Tommy Cash
